Emotional language
Help a teen describe stress, sadness, anger, or uncertainty in a way that feels their own.
Therapy services
Growing up can bring intense change. Teens need room to be heard as people, while caregivers need clarity about how to support them.
Understanding the concern
A teen may be navigating anxiety, low mood, school pressure, family conflict, identity questions, or a difficult transition. Sometimes the concern is obvious to everyone; sometimes adults and the teen see it differently.
Anthony's published practice includes older children, preteens, and teens. His relational approach considers the young person's perspective and the family context around them.
In therapy
Help a teen describe stress, sadness, anger, or uncertainty in a way that feels their own.
Look at misunderstandings, boundaries, and how caregivers can respond without escalating a difficult cycle.
Make space for friendships, identity, school transitions, and the move toward independence.
Anthony's approach
Anthony may combine person-centered conversation with attachment, family-systems, mindfulness-based, and practical skills perspectives as appropriate. The first step is to learn what the teen and caregivers hope will be different.
Questions about consent, caregiver involvement, confidentiality, and the fit of individual or family sessions should be answered before treatment begins. The arrangement may vary by age and situation.
Visit formats. Ask about Gardena in-person visits or California telehealth and which format is appropriate for the teen. Current options can be discussed through a service request. Gardena office · California telehealth
Practical questions
That depends on the goals and the teen's needs. Discuss caregiver involvement and privacy with Anthony before starting.
Their perspective matters. An initial conversation can clarify what they want help with and whether this is a workable fit.
